The Space Ranger Corps: Risking it all so others may live!

join-the-rangersThe Space Ranger Corps is the story of Captain Orion Duval and the diverse crew of The Valkyrie, one of the most advanced Star Frigates in known space. Space Rangers, a multi-racial and multi-specied crew, are members of an elite force that serves the Galactic Commonwealth, an alliance of alien worlds all located within fifty light years of Earth. The Rangers are its defenders and serve as the first line of defense against any aggression, be it alien invasion, criminal activity, or interstellar conspiracies.

The Rangers are the Commonwealth’s explorers, and they serve as the main scouting and intelligence-gathering group. Most importantly, they are the Commonwealth’s rescuers; no matter what the danger, the Rangers will always come to the rescue to save the weak and the helpless from the hazards of space. The motto of the Rangers: “Omnibus impendere, ut vivat alterius,” “To risk it all, so that others may live!”

Each episode will take the crew and the audience on a sci-fi adventure full of action and suspense. They will explore strange and exotic new worlds and meet fascinating Rangers and villains. They’ll discover exotic alien species and life forms (some cute and huggable, others terrifying and hideous), witness weird deep space phenomena, and uncover technology so bizarre and advanced it appears to be magic!

seabeastTo give you a feeling of what the show is about; consider the series a cross between Star Trek and Jonny Quest. For example, the series is similar to Star Trek in that there is a crew that travels through the star in a spaceship. Their mission, stated above, to Defend, to Explore, and to Rescue, though it is much more.  This show is similar to Jonny Quest in that it will take the audience to very exotic locations. Unlike Star Trek or Star Wars, these planets are truly alien worlds using real science, hence the term Science-Fiction.

One of these exotic places is the frozen world of Y’Mir, where native life forms breathe methane and have antifreeze for blood. This is a truly an alien planet, a volcanic ice world. On Y’Mir, life can only exist around geothermal features. These geysers and hot springs support vast colonies of bacteria that serve as the base of the food chain. Land Whales roam downwind in the fungal forest. These large animals are filter feeders and move across the surface like a giant caterpillars. As you can see, 3D animation gives the series more room for creativity.
