Call Sign: “Banshee”
Lieutenant Commander Colleen Kaitlin Brennan was born in the City of Virgora, on the planet of Asbolus, (Alpha Centauri B III). This underground city and one of the oldest outside the Sol star system. Her family instilled a sense of adventure while she was young. They would travel the natural wonders on this airless world. One of the most famous is the Crystal Cathedral, a cavern with large crystal formations. Once a year the light from the star would penetrate into the cavern and give one of the best natural light shows in the universe.
A plague struck the City in 2242, which affected her deeply. After watching many of her friends and family die, she decided to become a Doctor. She holds a PHD in medicine and minor degrees in biology and biochemistry. She is presently assigned to the Valkyrie as the ship’s doctor. Colleen is one of a few who are first generation Rangers.
She was fascinated by the story of the Rangers and decided to join after she became a PHD. She received her call sign when she attended the academy. She was surprised during an exercise and let out a high-pitched scream. She has learned to use the special ability to her advantage. Colleen plays the harp and writes poetry. She can trace an Irish heritage on her father’s side.

Lieutenant Jordie Jenson
Call Sign: “Jay Jay”
Jordie Jenson was recruited from the Martian colony of Nia, located in the Argyre impact basin on Mars. Nia is the first settlement on another planet. Because Mars lack of a global magnetic field, this city was built underground to protect the colony from harmful radiation, and meteorites impacts due to the rarified atmosphere. Nia is a vast unground complex reaching many subterranean layers and into large natural caverns.
Jordie and his brother and sister comes from a long line of Rangers who are fighter pilots. He serves as the Valkyrie’s shuttle pilot and fighter ace. He never misses an opportunity to fly, nor drive the many anti-gravity vehicles aboard the Valkyrie. He can be a bit of a daredevil at times, and a little reckless, though he has a six sense when it comes to flying. His true love is flying aircraft, his favorite being the open cockpit of a biplane, where you can feel the air on your face.

Lieutenant Jengo Doya
Call Sign: “Toy Man”
Lieutenant Jengo Doya hails from the Rock Port colony on the Ice Moon of Pebon. This moon orbits the ice giant of Psônenm, a rogue planet 2.35 light years from Earth in the Alpha Centauri sector. This port is one of the major import / export centers outside of Sol system.
Jengo’s present duties aboard the Valkyrie include robotic maintenance and Remote Controlled Bots (RCB) Operator. RCBs include maintenance robots that repair the spaceship in any situation.
There are many robots aboard the Valkyrie, all have different functions, some perform janitorial service, while others are designed to operate outside the craft. Maintenance bots can be remotely controlled by either a Ranger or Val.
Jengo comes from a Jamaican neighborhood. The crew loves Jamaican night where Jango cooks. He loves to laugh and always finds the funny side of things.
Lieutenant Junior Grade K’arr Ru (Cetian)
Call Sign: “Compass”
Lieutenant K’arr Ru is one of few aliens aboard the Valkyrie. She is from one of the many small villages on Tau Ceti IV. K’arr Ru was one of the few Cetians chosen by the High Council to join the Space Ranger Corps, because of her knowledge of Astronomy and Astronavigation.
K’arr Ru’s astronavigation skills are advanced and can determine the distance by looking at celestial object. She has trained herself to detect how bright certain stars shine. She has also memorized all the stars within 50 light years of her home world.
By using simple tools like a sextant, she can determine the position of her ship. She is a little shy and speaks softly; she is observant and learns quickly.

Lieutenant Junior Grade Maria Montoya
Call Sign: “Rosa”
Lieutenant Maria Montoya was born on the Mars-like world of Ninmah that orbits the star Proxima Centauri. This world orbits its star outside the habitable zone.
The New Haven colony is one of the oldest human colonies outside of the Sol Star System, and has become a major metropolitan area and star port. This city is surrounded by smaller colonies that mine ore used in the construction of star ships. New Haven also has a Ranger base and training academy as well other military installations.
Maria’s family moved from Chile just before she was born. Her mother worked at the spaceport, giving Maria an opportunity to watch the Rangers. She is energetic, loves people and can embrace new ideas. Maria Montoya is known to be witty, articulate, and competitive. She loves spicy foods. She assists Doctor Brennan as a nurse and is the medic on away missions.

Lieutenant Junior Grade Fernando Cortes
Call Sign: “Mouse”
Lieutenant Fernando Cortes hails from the city of Vansensa located on the Lalande IV. This world orbits close in a dim star and is tidally locked; this keeps one side of the planet always facing the star. The temperature on the side facing the star can exceed two hundred and fifty degrees, and the side facing away from the star can drop below negative two hundred degrees. There is a habitable strip where the two regions meet, where the star is low on the horizon. Vansensa is a major spaceport and industrial complex.
Fernando is a fourth generation Ranger, and can trace a Brazilian ancestry through his parents. Because of his small stature, he can fit anywhere to fix broken machinery and equipment making him one of the best mechanics in the Ranger Corps. Fernando makes a perfect team with Brom.
Fernando is presently serving as a mechanic aboard the Valkyrie and operates the crane / tow line during rescue mission. Fernando spends his time trying to supercharge the equipment to increase their performance, especially the ATVs.

Ensign Ariel Parker
Call Sign: “Squeaker”
Ensign Ariel Parker hails from the city of Galcies located on an ice moon of Orithya in the Ross 154 star system. Orithya is a water world covered is an ice sheets that is 60 kilometers thick. This city is built hanging from the roof of this ice sheet and hangs down into a subsurface ocean.
Ariel was identified as exceptionally intelligent while she was very young. Her parents took her to the Ranger outpost to take the entrance exam, which she aced. Ariel was soon recruited and entered her training younger than any other cadet. While at the academy she studied constantly and graduated at the top of her class.
Ariel is the youngest person to graduate the Ranger academy. She loves technology and has already mastered computer and communication systems. She is a bookworm, and has advanced logic and reasoning skills. Because she spends most of her free time in eBooks, she lacks intuition and is a little naïve. Her present assignment is communications officer on the Valkyrie.
